HTC Announced Its Next Flagship Phone (likely to be called just 'U) '

HTC has released a statement that its next flagship phone (likely to be called just 'U') will be officially seen on May 16. The announcement also includes a five second teaser along with the following tagline: "Squeeze for the Brilliant U."

This is a clear confirmation of previous rumors that the device will feature Edge Sense technology. That lets you control many features with gestures that you perform on the device's metal frame.
Rumors say the phone will be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC and sport a 5.5-inch QHD touchscreen. Other key features will include 12MP main camera, 16MP front shooter, and 64GB and 128GB storage options. OS is said to be Android 7.1 Nougat underneath HTC Sense 9.
